Establishing and upholding transparency and trust within Feed the World is a primary focus for its founders. As a nonprofit organisation, we bear a responsibility not just to our beneficiaries and donors but also to adhere to reporting requirements outlined by the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.
What is transparency?
In simple terms, transparency involves clarity, openness, and honesty. In our fundraising efforts, this entails utilising funds for their intended purposes. In the design and execution of our projects, transparency means evaluating our field partners against objective criteria, and clearly defining responsibilities, timelines, and budgets. Regarding finance and compliance, it involves conducting audits on our projects and submitting reports to both donors and the ACNC as mandated.
How do we distribute your contributions?
Using world class CRM systems, our team will allocate your contributions according to your specified preferences. In rare instances, such as a surplus of a specific type of aid (e.g., food) after a natural disaster, we may redirect your contributions to areas where there is a shortage and a greater impact can be achieved (e.g., medical assistance). It's important to note that your donation type will always be utilised as intended; Zakat will solely be used for Zakat eligible causes, sadaqah for sadaqah, and so forth.
Reporting
Reporting may vary based on the chosen relief campaign, ranging from personal level updates to comprehensive initiative level reports. Feed the World (FTW) will provide high level reports for community fundraising initiatives, consolidating information to cover numerous unique contributions. For individual construction or sponsorship initiatives, FTW will strive to deliver reports at an individual 1-1 level.
